Zareen Khan claims she was once asked by director to rehearse kissing scene with him

Days after hitting media headlines for being body shamed, Bollywood actress Zareen Khan has sensationally claimed that a director once asked her to rehearse a kissing scene with him. The actress, who shot to fame with Salman Khan-starrer Veer, made the revelation in an interview with an entertainment portal.

According to Zareen, the incident took place very early in her career in Bollywood. Recalling the incident, the actress told Pinkvilla website, “The person (director) is like, ‘you have to let go of your inhibitions, you have to let go of inhibitions,’ and that time I was relatively very new.”

The 32-year-old actress said that she was shocked at the advice to kiss the director as part of her rehearsal. She said, “What? I am not doing any kissing scene as a rehearsal.”

Zareen had recently faced incessant social media trolling after she posted a series of her photos with stretch marks on her stomach. Responding to her trolls, she had said that the stretch marks were due to her weight-loss programme.

She had written on her Instagram, “For people who are very curious to know about what’s wrong with my stomach, this is the natural stomach of a person who’s lost more than 50 Kg of weight. This is how it looks when it is not photoshopped or surgically corrected. I’ve always been someone who believes in being real and embraced my imperfections with pride rather than covering it up.”

Many Bollywood personalities including Anushka Sharma had extended their support to her while applauding her courage to share the photos with stretch marks. Anushka had written, “Zareen, you’re beautiful and brave and strong and perfect just the way you are.”

Zareen has acted in several films including Housefull 2Hate Story 3VeerappanWajah Tum HoAksar 2 and 1921. She also acted in a Punjabi film, Jatt James Bond five years ago.
