Bollywood actor Yami Gautam on Friday announced her wedding with Uri Director Aditya Dhar in a surprise Instagram post. Yami said that she tied the knot with Aditya in an intimate wedding ceremony.
Sharing a photo of herself with her husband, Yami wrote, “In your light, I learn to love – Rumi. With the blessings of our family, we have tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony today. Being very private people, we celebrated this joyous occasion with our immediate family.
“As we embark on the journey of love and friendship, we seek all your blessings and good wishes.”

In the photo, while Yami looked stunningly beautiful in a red outfit, her husband chose a cream sherwani for the momentous occasion.
No sooner did Yami share the post about her wedding, Bollywood actors began to congratulate her. Actor Shraddha Kapoor wrote, “Congratulations Yami and Aditya! Wish you love and happiness ????????.” Her Ginny Weds Sunny co-star Vikrant Massey wrote, “Bahut bahut bahut badhaaiyaan Yami ji and Bhai sahab. ???? Incredible. God bless you both!!!! Dher saara pyaar!!! ♥️” Dia Mirza, who recently got married, wrote, “Congratulations Yami and Aditya ❤️???? Lots of love and best wishes to a wonderful journey ahead!”
Actor Varun Dhawan wrote, “Congratulations yami and Aditya ❤️ ????sending you all the positivity.”
Aditya had famously directed Uri: The Surgical Strike, which was based on India’s surgical strikes deep inside Pakistan. The film had featured Vicky Kaushal in lead role with Yami Gautam playing the character of an undercover RAW agent. One of the dialogues from the film, How’s the josh? had become hugely popular.
On the work front, Yami has featured in films such as Vicky Donor opposite Ayushmann Khurana, Kaabil opposite Hrithik Roshan and Batti Gul Meter Chalu opposite Shahid Kapoor. Her next big released is likely to be Bhoot Police.
