Filmmaker Karan Johar has always been a close friend of Shah Rukh Khan and their collaborations in the past have resulted in several Bollywood blockbusters.

It’s no wonder Karan’s caption on Instagram said ‘We are family’ when he posted photos of himself with King Khan and his son Aryan Khan, who looked like a budding Hollywood star in the photos.

Dressed in blue suit, white shirt and a black tie, Aryan looked like a born star. Even though he stood with two of the biggest names in the Indian film industry, he clearly stood out in the photo with his own striking identity. The photos elicited overwhelming reactions from the fans, many of whom appeared to be awestruck by seeing the phenomenal turnaround in the physique and look of Shah Rukh’s ‘small’ boy, who’d clearly transformed into a handsome man and perhaps even ready to make a film debut.

One fan remarked, “Aryan looks like srk, same so handsome.” Another fan urged Shah Rukh to send his son Hollywood, “Just send Aryan to Hollywood already.” “He’s so like SRK OMG I’m crying,” wrote a fan. Another fan commented, “Can’t wait to see Aryan on screen! You must launch him Karan.”

In another photo, taken at the engagement party of Mukesh Ambani’s son Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta, Karan’s caption said, “The godson!!!” This was in reference to Shah Rukh to be the God of cinema. And he wasn’t wrong given the reaction his photo evoked from fans for Aryan. A fan said, “Oooofff he is so handsome.” One fan wrote expressing her surprise how time had flown given that Aryan was in Karan’s arms as a child during the shooting of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. She wrote, “I remember when he was in your arms, in the pool during KKHH days. Time flies. He’s such a handsome young man.”

Talking about his son’s preparation for his possible entry into films, Shah Rukh had once said, “I am showing Aryan a lot of films because he will be going to a film school now. I have made a folder which has all the great English classics like The Untouchables, Goodfellas and Michael Douglas’ Falling Down. For the moment, I am showing him English films. I have also made another folder that has Hindi classics like Sholay, Do Aakhen Barah Haath and Devdas — both Dilip Saab’s and mine. I want him to see more films and he does watch a lot of films including mine.”

Aryan Khan is reportedly pursuing a degree in films in California. Karan had recently told Hindustan Times that he was ready with a script and couldn’t wait to share cinema space with SRK.

He had said, “Well, now that I am back from my birthday break (in London, UK), I will take all those decisions but I know one thing. Shah Rukh has been one of my best experiences in cinema ever and it’s something that I can’t wait to repeat,”
