Tributes have poured in on the death of Tamil TV actor and VJ Ananda Kannan at the age of 48. Kannan was reportedly battling cancer.
Celebrities and journalists took to Twitter to condole Kannan’s death. “Popular Tamil TV anchor and actor #Anandakannan is no more. #RIPanandakannan,” wrote Sreedhar Pillai. Actress Harathi tweeted, “#RIPanandakannan Darling brother too early to leave. A pure soul with very positive min. May God give strength to ur family.Aathma namasthey.”
TV anchor DD Nelakandan wrote, “Rest in peace … Forever u will be remembered for ur sweet smile and kind words …. #RIPanandakannan you fought your battle hard …. A very nice person gone too soon.”

Kannan reportedly began his TV career in Singapore in the 90s before he relocated himself to Tamil Nadu.
