IAS topper and now Bhilwara SDM Tina Dabi Khan too has joined the Diwali celebrations even as she makes herself familiar with the new assignment in the poll-bound Rajasthan. Diwali is the festival of lights, celebrated across India and by Hindus living abroad.
Tina took to her social media pages to wish her fans the Diwali greetings. Posting a photo of sweets and gift pack, Tina wrote, “Happy Diwali ✨✨✨ ✨✨. May Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi bless our homes with love, luck, success, prosperity, good health and bliss!”
Her post evoked overwhelming reactions from her fans with many from Jammu and Kashmir cheekily asking her send some sweets to the valley. That’s because Tina is married to Kashmir-born IAS topper Aamir Athar Khan. Her social media profile describes her as a ‘Kashmiri Bahu.’
Tina later also updated her Insta story with two back-to-back photos of Diwali greetings. One of her greetings read, “May you blessed with happiness and well being to last through the year. Happy Diwali.”
Speaking exclusively to Janta Ka Reporter on Tuesday, the affable civil servant had said that although she had been posted as the SDM before during her IAS training, this was her full-fledged appointment.
She said, “The experience of working as an SDM has been brilliant. The feeling of working amongst the common people is great. It gives me immense satisfaction when I am able to solve people’s problems. My top priority right now is to bring as many people to polling booths as possible for the upcoming assembly elections.”
Last week, Tina had posted photos of carrying out SVEEP activities in Bhilwara, where assembly elections will take place on 7 December. SVEEP is a special initiative of the Election Commission to enhance voters’ participation in elections.
