Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik has stepped up his attack against the Narcotics Control Bureau Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede promising to meet Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and the state home minister to demand for an SIT into allegations of extortion in the Aryan Khan’s arrest case.
“We will meet the CM and HM. This will be probed through SIT. An organised crime was executed for a year in this city, Crores of Rupees was collected,” Malik was quoted by ANI.
He added, “Two cases are open and not even one arrest has been made in a year. People were being called and money was being collected from them. False cases were being raised. If probed, there will be more revelations.”

This was after an NCB witness sensationally alleged the payoff of Rs. 8 crore to Wankhede in the Aryan Khan arrest case. Prabhakar Sail, who said he worked as KP Gosavi’s bodyguard, had alleged in his affidavit that he was made to sign blank pages. According to Sail, Gosavi, who’s been on the run since the Maharashtra Police issued a lookout notice against him, had allegedly discussed paying off Rs. 8 crore to Wankhede.
Malik had in the past had raised questions on Wankhede’s mysterious trips to the Maldives and Dubai adding that the purpose was to collect his extortion money.
Wankhede has denied all allegations with his sister, Jasmeen, even threatening to initiate a legal action against the minister for posting photos from her Instagram account without her permission.
