Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap on Thursday took to Twitter with an incredibly angry post against Manmarziyaan co-producer Kishore Lulla for deleting certain objectionable scenes without his consent. Taapsee Pannu too took to the microblogging site the same day to take on her trolls, who made desperate attempts to give her grief with many accusing her of bringing shame to Punjab.
Taapsee, who had recently said in an interview that she loved to respond to her trolls with humour, was at her best. She advised one troll to correct his punctuation, which was all over the place. She wrote, “Sir aapne question mark galat lagaaye hai. I think full stop lagaana tha wahan. Correct karke dubaara tweet Karo. And you’re welcome :).”

In response to one troll, who accused her of having no feelings for Sikhs, she wrote, “Full feelings madam. Tell me where to go to show ? Is there a testing centre too. Coz I am really ignorant I’ve been told.”

Another troll wrote that he did not think that fictional scenes in films made much difference in real life but the actress ought to stop bashing the Sikh community. To which, Taapsee responded, “Toh sir aapka Toh taste hi kharab hai. Aapse nahi baat karni mujhe. (Then sir, you have poor taste. I don’t want to talk to you).”

Also among those trolling Taapsee was a Delhi BJP MLA, Manjinder S Sirsa, who raised objections to the Mulk actor remembering Waheguru. He wrote, “Remembering Waheguru just to promote your movie @taapsee Ji?? If you people don’t believe in any religion or Maryada; at least follow what statutory warning says – Cigarette smoking is injurious to health!”
Pat came Taapsee’s reply, “Ok sir. And next time please read the disclaimer written before a film starts that all characters are fictitious and nothing has been done in the film to hurt anyone’s sentiments. It’s quite clear and well worded. Regards !” Her response clearly left Sirsa stumped.
Manmarziyaan was released on 14 September and has collected over Rs 19 crore at the box office.
