Actor Swara Bhaskar has always voiced her opinion on social issues particularly related to crimes against women and the growing menace of communalism.
Daughter of a former Commodore of the Indian Navy, Swara has often trolling by right-wing zealots. Not too long ago, Swara courted controversy after she posted a tweet in response to controversial guru Jaggi Vasudev’s comments calling India’s liberals fanatics.
Reminding people about the atrocities committed to Dalits in Gujarat’s Una in 2016, Swara wrote, “Some assholes with big caste pride, tied men to a jeep, flogged them publicly and recorded it ; #ButLiberalsAreFanatics #SadhguruSays.”
Soon her tweet evoked nasty reactions from the members of the Hindutva gang with most of them wrongly accusing her of abusive the Indian army. The Hindutva zealots desperately tried to link her tweet to the tying up of a Kashmiri youth by one Major Gogoi in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Veere Di Wedding actress later explained that her tweet was in reference to Una incident and not Jammu and Kashmir’s human shield controversy, but this did not have much effect as the incessant trolling against continued unabated.
On Thursday, Twitter users realised that Swara’s official Twitter account had disappeared from internet prompting many to speculate the reason.

It’s not clear if Swara has decided to deactivate her account voluntarily or her account is suspended by Twitter.
