Sui Dhaaga starring Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma has been a topic of intense social media conversation ever since the film’s trailer was released on 13 August. The movie, produced by Yash Raj Films, see Varun and Anushka share screen space for the first time.
The film has been directed by Sharat Katariya and is set to release on 28 September. Whilst the response to the trailer has been impressive, a lot of users on social media have discovered one particular scene of Anushka Sharma from the trailer apt for memes. And in no time social media particularly the microblogging site Twitter has turned into a meme fest.
Going by the number of memes being created on Anushka’s still from the trailer, no body appears to remember that the video has already clocked more than 17 million views on YouTube. In the midst of social media memes, Bollywood fans also appeared to have forgotten that the film was about an incredible journey of an unemployed youth to an unstoppable entrepreneur.
However, given the hilarious nature of the memes, nobody appears to be complaining. This has come as a refreshing change in the midst of usual negativity that’s traditionally been the hallmark of the social media platforms.
