Gerua, the much awaited song of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer film Dilwale is out and their fans are simply loving the track.
Within minutes of the track being out, it began to trend on social media platforms. The launch event was held at the historic Maratha Mandir, which continues to play the duo’s 1995 blockbuster Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.
The track reminds you of the cinematography of famous Suraj Huwa Maddham of Kabhi Khushu Kabhi Gham.
Shah Rukh had earlier talked about the song, “Every song has a different reason in the film. They have a celebration song, and then there’s a dream sequence song which is larger than life with the cast. ‘Rang De Tu Mohe Gerua’ is a romantic track with Kajol and me in it.”
On Wednesday, Shah Rukh tweeted saying, “Gerua makes me feel beautiful and in love.”
Shah Rukh also revealed that Rohit had envisioned the song much before they picturised it.
“Rohit felt that since Kajol and I are coming back on screen after so many years, we should at least try to make this song stand out, something which is better than all the other songs that we have done together pehle. Aur hum dono ne bohut sundar sundar gaane kiye hai pehle. We are fortunate to have done those songs. So Rohit was very clear about the whole thing. So his choice of locations, the details of the clothing, everything he’s paid attention because he wanted to,” SRK said.
Dilwale directed by Rohit Shetty and also stars Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon and Boman Irani in lead roles. The film is set for a December 18 release.
Here’s what twitter users are saying about the track!
