Actress Sri Reddy had shot to fame in April this year after staged a topless protest against what she said was a rampant casting couch in the Telugu film industry.
Justifying her decision to go topless, Reddy had said that she was being denied roles in the regional films because of her decision to not succumb to demands for sexual favours. “They will ask us to send inappropriate pictures and videos. Are we girls or things to play with? But we will not get an opportunity,” she had said.
The controversial actress has now targeted legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar accusing him of having an affair with a Telugu actress. In a Facebook post she wrote, “A romantic guy called sachin tendulkaran, when he came to Hyderabad, charmi’ng girl did a romance wt him..high profile chamundeswar swami is a middle person..greatest persons can play well i mean romance well ????”
In her follow up post, Reddy wrote, “Looks like decent and behaves like a very good and honest persons..they do social works too to prove as a good person to the world..some times they can be good persons by heart..if yes also, they can be interested in girls..”extra marital affairs”..I am talking genuinely truths..I dn need any public attention. (sic)”
Reddy has, in the past, accused actor Nani of sexually abusing her and scuttling her chances to be a part of this year’s Bigg Boss Telugu season 2. Taking to Facebook in July this year, Reddy had written, “To this generation Jr.ntr is a king of a tollywood and to the bigboss#lion.” Her comments were understandably aimed at teasing Nani, said people who are familiar with the controversial model-actor.”
As expected, Tendulkar has not responded to Reddy’s allegations. Going by Reddy’s past history of seeking cheap publicity, it’s unlikely that the batting legend or his millions of fans will take her seriously.
