Speculations have grown over the role of Divya Spandana, also known as Ramya, as the social media head of the Congress after her Twitter account no longer existed on the microblogging site. She had close a million followers before her verified account with a blue tick disappeared on Saturday.
Earlier her Twitter account was no longer displaying her tweets and her bio describing her as the social media head of the Congress too has disappeared. At the time of writing this story, her account had disappeared from the Twitter. This has led to wide speculations whether she had left the social media team of the Congress. Earlier her Twitter bio read, “Actor, Former Member of Parliament, Social Media & Digital Communications INC India.”
The Congress was reduced to just 52 seats in the just-concluded Lok Sabha polls after the BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi won a historic second term by winning 303 seats in the Lok Sabha.
Many social media users have been inquiring about Spandana since her Twitter account suddenly disappeared.

News agency ANI quoted sources as saying that she had ‘parted ways from the team’ before quoting Spandana herself as saying that ‘your source is wrong.’
In October last year, Spandana had removed her Twitter bio prompting speculations that she was unhappy with the party and had resigned as the Congress social media head. Days later she was back on Twitter and had restored her bio in her social media account.
