Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan on Sunday dominated social media conversations after he was detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau following a raid on a Goa-bound cruise ship.

Other detained questioning were Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker and Gomit Chopra.

In a viral video, Aryan Khan could be seen seated at the NCB office after being detained. With his face covered in a mask, Aryan was seen taking something out of his backpack.

According to reports, the NCB officials have not yet pressed any charges against Shah Rukh Khan’s son, but his mobile phone has reportedly been confiscated for examination.

Two NCB officials had reportedly boarded the Goa-bound ship disguising as passengers. They decided to carry out the raid after it became clear that banned substances were being used on the cruise. The NCB officials have reportedly recovered Ecstasy, Cocaine, MD (Mephedrone) and Charas.

The latest development comes days after the NCB arrested the brother of actor Arjun Rampal’s partner Gabriella in a drug case. Agisilaos Demetriades was also arrested from Goa.

The NCB had also arrested Rhea Chakraborty in the past in connection with the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who ended his life by suicide last year.

Aryan Khan’s detention has triggered huge social media backlash.

Meanwhile, actor Sunil Shetty has come out in the open in support of Aryan Khan. Speaking to reporters, he said, ‘When a raid is conducted at a place, many people are taken into custody. We assume that a particular boy must have consumed it (drugs). The process is on. Let’s give that child a breather. Let real reports come out.”
