Actor Adil Hussain has slammed media reports that branded the leaked steamy video from his film Parched as sex scene of Radhika Apte.
He told Indian Express, “The most interesting aspect is that the leaked videos is titled as Radhika Apte sex scene and not as Adil Hussain sex scene. That’s because a man doing it is just another matter whereas when a woman does it, it does matter. It is only then when it becomes a sex scene. It also shows the patriarchal society that we live in. In the West, such scenes are normally shown in their films.”

The actor also expressed his dissatisfaction on leaking of only the sex scene from Parched calling it wierd.
He told a news portal, “I learnt about it yesterday from Google alert and it felt bizarre in the beginning. In fact, it felt very weird. It shows how sexually obsessed a lot of people in our society are. You leak only the sex scene and no other beautiful scenes from the film. It only shows that we are extremely obsessed about sex and yet we don’t want to talk about it. We shun it, shove it under the carpet and don’t want to show it to people.”
Parched has Radhika Apte and Adil Hussain in lead roles and the film had recently earned plenty of plaudits at the just concluded Melbourne Film Festival. However, the sex scene was leaked online even before the film could be officially released in India.
The leaked lovemaking scene has Radhika in the nude. As expected the video went viral on social media platforms.
The makers of the film have approached the cyber cell, but the police has not yet arrested anyone. Adil has little doubt that the culprit has to be a man and from India.
“The person who has done it, I am sure is not a woman but a man. And it must be an Indian man.”
