Salman, who celebrates his birthday today, told reporters outside his Mumbai house, “We live in a farmhouse, which is right inside a jungle. A snake entered the room and the children were frightened, so I went there. I asked for a stick, which was very small. I asked for a longer stick and lifted the snake.”

The Bollywood actor said that he lifted the snake and brought it outside. The snake, according to him, too cuddled itself around the stick and slithered up to his hand.

“I also lifted the snake with my other hand and dropped the stick. Seeing this, my staff, all from the local village, began to shout kandari, kandari kandari. The snake also realised that it needed to bite me, so it bit me once. The snake bit me one more time. Soon, there was a commotion as people began to shout hospital, hospital, hospital saying that it was a venomous snake.”

Salman said that the snake bit him for the third time prompting him to drop the reptile on the ground. Doctors at the hospital told him that even though it was a krait, it wasn’t a venomous one. “I have taken anti-venom for all kinds of snakes including krait, viper, cobra and one other kind of snake. When I returned to my farmhouse, the snake was still there. I took it and left him in the jungle affectionately. My sister was visibly frightened but she too developed a fondness for it. So, I took a photo of the snake with her,” Salman added.

On the professional front, Salman is currently hosting the latest edition of the Colors TV reality show Bigg Boss. He has shot for a cameo for Shah Rukh Khan’s next project  Pathan. He will shoot for Tiger 3 opposite Katrina Kaif in 2022.
