Rs. 200 crore money laundering case: Actor Jacqueline Fernandez fails to appear before ED once again

Actor Jacqueline Fernandez on Monday once again failed to appear before the Enforcement Directorate in a case related to Rs. 200 crore money laundering. This was the third time that Jacqueline skipped her appearance before the ED.

The actor, according to news agency PTI, is believed to have cited her professional engagements as the reason why she could not appear before the ED on Monday.

The central government agency, which is probing the case against conman Suresh Chandrashekhar, may issue a fresh date for the actor to appear before it.

She had appeared before the ED in August to record her statement. But the reason why the ED has asked her to appear again is that the agency reportedly wants to confront her with Chandrashekhar and the latter’s actor wife Leena Maria Paul.

Last week, actor-dancer Nora Fatehi had appeared before the ED to record her statement in the case. Nora had reportedly said that she herself was a victim in the case.
