Rahat Fateh Ali Khan comes to India with his album ‘Back to Love’

Musical maestro Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has come back to India after four and a half years with his latest song in his collection, ‘Back to Love’.

The famous qawwal who was on Thursday questioned for hours, had said in an interview that he will keep visiting India like before despite problems.

‘Back to Love’, is top on the music charts, namely, the iTunes India Pop charts and the Nokia Music charts. It was at number 3 on the day of its release (2014) and now earned around 50 million views on YouTube.

Khan said, “It has always been a pleasure to come back to my second home which has given me so much love, warmth and success. 4 years plus is a very long time and I am happy that I have addressed some pending legal matters with the relevant authority and excited to have my second innings with the industry where I have several friends and it will be great to connect with them.”

Salman Ahmed, a Pakistani musician and a pioneer of Sufi rock band in Pakistan helped Khan in producing the album, ‘Back to love’.

Salman said, “Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is keen to continue his successful journey with Bollywood and is looking forward to working with his friends in the Indian film industry on bigger and more exciting projects.”

Rahat, while talking to media also revealed that a new album was in the making, which may release by the end of 2015.

He said, “There is a new album coming out end of this year. We are doing the listing of the album right now. The new album will have 70 per cent Punjabi songs and the rest will be in Hindi. There will be songs on the lines of ‘Mai tenu samjhawan ki’. No name has been finalised for this album yet.”

Rahat’s latest track, Zaroori tha was featured in Mahesh Bhatt’s movie, Hamari adhuri kahani (2015).
