Aamir Khan has been sent a legal notice by an activist for using the emblem of the country as the title of the programme allegedly without the Central government’s sanction.
Manoranjan Roy, the activist. reportedly said that the words ‘Satyamev Jayate’ are a part of the national emblem and cannot be used with permission by the Union government.
According to reports, the notice, which was sent by Advocate Manjod Singh, said that no authority has the right to register or grant patent which contains the State Emblem or its part as per the State Emblem of India (Prohibition of Improper Use) Act 2009, the notice says, adding that “it cannot be used to get monetary benefit or for the purpose of advertisement.”
The notice has been sent to actor and the show’s host and producer Aamir Khan, his wife Kiran Rao, also a producer, and the show’s director Satyajit Bhatkal.
