Filmmaker Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan have always enjoyed excellent camaraderie as the two worked together in several Bollywood blockbusters. Notable amongst them are Kal Ho Na Ho, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham.
Yet, Karan faced the ire of Shah Rukh supporters on Twitter on Friday after some eagle-eyed Bollywood fans noticed that the filmmaker had liked an abusive tweet targeting King Khan. This was after a Twitter user mockingly wrote while commenting on the box office collections of Akshay Kumar’s just-released Kesari. He wrote, “Half day colls (collections) of #kesari on Holi day (which is worse than pre Diwali day) > #ZERO full festival day collections.”
He then used an abusive term to address Shah Rukh and questioned his stardom in comparison with Akshay Kumar.”
The tweet gained considerable attention on social media after some Shah Rukh Khan fans noticed that Karan had liked the abusive social media post targeting the Bollywood superstar. Although Karan later unliked the tweet, it was too late. Shah Rukh supporters launched a Twitter hashtag #ShameOnKaranJohar, which had become a top trend on Twitter.

During Shivaay vs ADHM, SRK fans supported Karan. We put the fight against Ajay Devgn fans and Bhakts. Got blocked by Ajay.
But All this to see negativity by him?
Agar tere liye trend kar sakte hai toh tere khilaf bhi kar sakte hai @karanjohar#ShameOnKaranJohar

I agree with our Intellectual and Multifandom SRKians:
RCE is not a Problem at all.
Karan Johar is not a man behind negativity.
SRK Universe is always there for him.
Problem is SRK himself who have blind faith in them and think they are doing good to him.#ShameOnKaranJohar
