Following her father’s path, actress Sonam Kapoor now wants to try hands in producing films.
It was Sonam’s sister, Rhea Kapoor who convinced her to enter production and now both the sisters will be seen producing Shashanka Ghosh’s upcoming movie, Battle for Bittora starring Sonam and Khoobosurat actor Fawad Khan.

The actress confirmed that she will be involved in every aspect of the movie’s production, from finances to research to costumes to casting.
Sonam had made up her mind during Aisha, which was produced by her sister, but in Battle for Bittora, the actress revealed that her name will be a part of the credit titles.
Khoobsurat actress, Sonam said, “I was a producer in Aisha (produced by dad Anil, sis Rhea and Sunil Manchanda), but a silent one. It was Rhea who convinced me to turn a proper producer now and have my name in the credit titles. She feels it’s high time. I will be involved in every department of production — from finances to research to costumes and casting. I will be producing Battle For Bittora along with another film.”
The film, Battle for Bittora deals with rival political families with a love story at the backdrop. The movie is an adaptation of a book by the same name, written by Anuja Chauhan.
