Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had earlier this month stunned everyone by changing the name of Allahabad to Prayagraj in a bid to please his Hindutva supporters and also make it a communal issue ahead of the next year’s assembly polls. His sudden decision had sparked a huge row with experts and commentators slamming him for hiding his poor governance with the vicious Hindutva agenda.

This wasn’t the only time that Adityanath had change the name of a famous place in Uttar Pradesh since becoming the chief minister last year. Earlier this year, he was also instrumental in changing the name of the iconic Mughalsarai train station to Pandit Deen Dayal Upaddhyay station. Both names were changed because their Mughal era connection.

However, on Friday Twitterati trended #AajSeTumharaNaam posting hilarious meme of Adityanath, who founded the militant Hindutva outfit Hindu Yuva Vahini. Under the hashtag, Twitterati suggested how Adityanath would have preferred changed the names of other celebrities to make them sound like Hindu.

For example, Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif would have been called Kranti Devi, while Union Minister Smriti Irani would have become Smriti Hindusthani since Iran was a Muslim country. Shah Rukh Khan’s My Name is Khan too would have been released as  My Name is Khandelwal. West Indian cricketing great Chris Gayle would have been known as Krishna Goyal. One user suggested that if this was up to Rajinikanth, he would changed the name of Adityanath to Hollywood actor Vin Diesel.

Adityanath’s term as the chief minister since March last year has been of utter failure on governance front. Experts believe that the name changing exercise was to hide the failure on governance and woo the voters by pushing the communal agenda.
