Bollywood actor Kajol has always been one of the most favourite on-screen partners for Shah Rukh Khan, who has had to go through a prolonged period of traumatic moments after the Narcotics Control Bureau arrested his son Aryan Khan. After spending almost a month in jail, Aryan was finally released on bail by the Bombay High Court. Days later, Shah Rukh celebrated his 56th birthday on 2 November.
Birthday wishes poured in from his friends in Bollywood including Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt and Shilpa Shetty among others.
Salman shared a photo of himself with Shah Rukh as he wrote, “Aaj apne bhai ka birthday hai . Happy birthday mere bhai .. @iamsrk.”
Ali Bhatt wrote, “My favourite person. King of not just cinema. King of goodness, king of possibly-it-all! Happy happy birthday SR. You are and always will be synonymous with LOVE. Love is the greatest thing in this world. And so are you! I hope, wish and pray that you only have good, love-filled days in your life always and forever – because that’s all you give us.”

Sanjay Dutt wrote, “Happy Birthday Shah @iamsrk. Stay blessed!”
However, Kajol did not wish her most popular on-screen partner on his birthday. Many wondered if this was related to Shah Rukh’s son being arrest in the drug case. One fan asked Kajol on Instagram, “Why u didn’t wish SRK?” Kajol replied, “”What more can I wish him? I think all his wishes came true when his son came back home.”
Shah Rukh and Kajol featured in many Bollywood blockbusters in the late 90s and early 2000s. They included Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. Their last film together was Dilwale which was boycotted by Hindutva fanatics for Shah Rukh’s comments on religious intolerance.
