Janhvi Kapoor has opened up about losing her Mom Sridevi since the legendary actor’s untimely demise in February this year and how the tragedy impacted the lives of Kapoor clan.
The 21-year-old told Karan Johar, who interviewed him for Vogue magazine, that Sridevi thought she wasn’t thick-skinned enough to survive in movies.
“She never wanted me to be an actress. She was more relaxed about Khushi getting into films. She thought I was naïve, that I wasn’t thick-skinned enough. She wanted us to live a more relaxed life. She loved what she did but you know it was intense,” Janhvi was quoted by ANI.
On being asked about the void created by Sridevi’s death, Janhvi said, “Of course. I could always be the baby with her. When I’d wake up, the first thing I’d do was ask for her. I’d need her to put me to sleep sometimes and she literally had to feed me.”
She went to add, “The day before she left for the wedding, I had to shoot, but I couldn’t sleep, so I was like, ‘I need you to come and put me to sleep.’ But she was packing, so by the time she came to me I was half asleep. But I could feel her patting my head.”
Meanwhile, Janhvi on Wednesday posted the photo of her cover shoot for a magazine on Instagram and her fans simply couldn’t get enough of her stunning look.
In the cover photo of Vogue magazine, Janhvi is seen wearing a floral breezy top while her beautiful locks are loosely styled to shape her oval face. In short, Janhvi is looking stunning in this close-up.
Within hours of Janhvi posting the photo, it was liked by more than 2,50,000 fans on her Instagram page. Many users said they detected a reflection of her mother Sridevi, who died in Dubai earlier this year.

Janhvi’s debut Bollywood film is going to be Dhadak, scheduled to be released in July, where she is paired opposite Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khattar.
