Manoj Shukla, the man masquerading as a writer and using Urdu surname to fool his audience, has come under considerable condemnation for his latest Islamophobic rant. Vaibhav Vishal, the writer of Scam 1992 and Inside Edge, took to Twitter to highlight Shukla’s hypocrisy as he reminded how the latter his built his career by writing songs in Urdu, the language introduced by Islamic rulers.
Vaibhav wrote, “The man who made a career out of Ishq, Khalish, Mehfooz, Fariyaad, Humsafar and Rashqe Kamar questions our Indo-Islamic legacy, and our education, values and choices. Good to see the mask coming off, Manoj. Remove the word “Muntashir” from your name now. Choose your legacy!”

Actor Richa Chadha wrote, “Cringe. Bad poetry, unwatchable. Should drop the pen name too. Why profit off of something you so hate.”
Muntashir, who has been ashamed of his Hindu Brahmin surname Shukla up until now, accused Islamic rulers of waging jihad against the Hindu population of Chittorgarh even though there’s no historical evidence to back up his claim. He expressed his disgust on naming Indian roads after Islamic rulers from the past by urging Indians to choose their legacy wisely.
“Choose Your Legacy And Your Heros! Relwasing today at 5 PM on YouTube/Manoj Muntashir. (sic)”
It didn’t take long for netizens to remind him about his glaring hypocrisy with many asking him to drop his Urdu surname and replace it with Shukla. Others ironically thanked him for dropping his mask finally to expose himself as a hardcore bigot.
