The first official look from Imtiaz Ali’s much-awaited film Tamasha is out. The image features ex-flames Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone happily holding hands. Apart from this, few other pictures too have been leaked from their shooting location.

In an interaction with the media, Deepika Padukone while describing her role said, “My character is a fan of the French comic series, Asterix in Corsica, France. In the film, I set out on an adventure and meet Ranbir. We then, explore the island together, form a troupe to stage a dramatic play and then, fall passionately in love.”

Whereas, Ranbir Kapoor’s character is about a person who grows up hearing stories and expresses himself by performing them. Kapoor plays a free-spirited person who wants everybody around him to be happy. The film portrays Kapoor’s life in three stages–as a 9-year-old, a 19-year-old and then, a 30-year-old foreign-returned adult.

While most of the film’s shooting has been done in France, few scenes have also been shot in Gurgaon’s Cyber hub. Ranbir said, “This is the second film that Imtiaz and I are shooting in Delhi together, and it’s very different from the first one that we did. It was more heartland Delhi where we shot Rockstar, and I think for this one, the world of Delhi that Imtiaz is trying to create is the Gurgaon world. So it’s a different world for us. So, it’s not that we’re shooting on the same locations.”

Ranbir and Deepika have starred together in Bachna ae haseeno and Yeh jawaani hai deewani, both of which were superhit at the box office. Seeing their personal history and onscreen chemistry, the audience are eagerly waiting for their movie release.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Imtiaz Ali under the banner of UTV Motion Pictures, Tamasha is expected to hit the screens on November 27, 2015.
