Kannada TV actor Soujanya on Thursday ended her life by suicide before writing a gut-wrenching note seeking forgiveness from her family. The 25-year-old budding actor’s body was found at her apartment at Doddabele near Kumbalgodu on the outskirts of Bengaluru.
Her suicide note, according to news agency PTI, read, “I am only responsible for this…so family, please forgive me… I had promised I will never do such stupid thing in my life but I had no option. I was totally killed inside. Day by day I was going so low.”
Addressing her father, the actor wrote, “I am really so sorry for doing this…Pappa I love you so much as I spoke to you I am not able to take it anymore.”
Soujanya, who hailed from Kushalnagar in Kodagu district, had featured in popular TV series and films such as Chaukattu Fun and Nanobbne Olleyavnu.
According to the police, the actor hung herself from the ceiling fan in her room. The exact reason for her suicide is not known yet. However, her four-page suicide note indicated that she was grappling with health issues. She said that her health issues were ‘killing’ her from inside.
The police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
