Alia Bhatt recently made a rare appearance with her future sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor Khan at the Jio Mami Festival when she accidentally uttered a swear word during an interview with Karan Johar. Alia, who is rumoured to be dating Kareena’s cousin Ranbir Kapoor, was sharing just how awestruck she was about Bebo’s fitness and beauty when she let the F-word slip out of her tongue. But this wasn’t the only sensational development during the interview. Moments later, Kareena almost confirmed that Alia and Ranbir were dating each other and she will be ‘the happiest girl’ to welcome her in the Kapoor family as her future sister-in-law.

Explaining how Kareena has had such a profound impact on her, Alia told Karan, “She’s always had such an amazing impact on me not only because she is a fabulous actor but also how reckless she was with her choices of films. She did films after films. She still is. Even today, she’s doing film after film after film. Like one would think how people say that ‘you get married and life slows down.’ Didn’t happen for her. Ok, you have a child and life slows down for you. Did not at all happen for her.”

Then came the controversial part of her comments that took everyone including Karana Johar by surprise. Alia said, “(Kareena)Rocking that track pant with a pout, it’s just f**king..!” Realising that she had made one of the biggest gaffes in recent times, Alia stopped. But, by then Kareena had already cover her face in disbelief.

Unaware of why everyone was suddenly so surprised with what Alia had to say, Karan asked Kareena, “What did she say?” Upon learning that the Raazi actress had uttered the F-word, Karan shouted, “Is this how I raised you?” This caused further laughter among the audience.

Kareena was asked if she ever imagined that Alia could one day be her sister-in-law. To which, she told Karan, “I’ll be the happiest girl in the world!” Her reply was met with cheering from the audience.

Alia, for her part, said, “Honestly I never thought about it but I don’t want to think about it now also. We will cross that bridge when we come to it.” Karan teased Alia by asking, “Is there a bridge here?”

Both Alia and Ranbir will be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, which also features Amitabh Bachchan. The film is set to release on 25 December this year.
