Shah Rukh Khan on Tuesday night publicly displayed his frustration on the shocking defeat of his side, Kolkata Knight Riders, at the hands of Mumbai Indias by 10 runs. The KKR’s defeat even after bowling the MI out for 152 had left everyone stunned. What left experts puzzled was how the KKR batsmen caved in despite Nitish Rana and Shubman Gill giving the team a flying start.
A visibly irritated Shah Rukh wrote, “Disappointing performance. to say the least @KKRiders apologies to all the fans!”

Reacting to his team’s defeat, skipper Eoin Morgan had said, “Yeah it’s disappointing. A lot of the time we played good cricket, certainly the first half and a majority of the chase. We made mistakes, hopefully we can iron them out. Mumbai are a very good side. I think the perfect game is to be able to do both all out attack and defence and we’ve managed to do neither in the end.”
His MI counterpart Rohit Sharma had said, “It was a great fightback considering where the game was while they were batting. Anyone who came to bowl at different stages wanted to put their hands up and do something for the team. We can take a lot of confidence from this game. There were lots of positives. The way KKR started, they batted brilliantly in the first six overs. But once the powerplay was gone, the way Rahul came and got wickets was crucial.”
Rahul Chahar, who spun magic to finish with a spell of 4-27, was declared Man Of The Match.
