Dipika Kakar is inconsolable without husband Shoaib Ibrahim in Bigg Boss house this Diwali, addresses him as her God

When TV actress Dipika Kakar decided to join this year’s Bigg Boss, many were surprised as the Sasural Simar Ka fame actor had barely completed little over six months of her marriage with co-star Shoaib Ibrahim. However, Dipika later explained that there were compelling family reasons, seemingly financial, for her to do the reality show, where she may have to spend as many as three months without her husband.

While in the Bigg Boss house, Dipika has emerged as one of the stronger contestants. On Saturday, Dipika was slammed by the last year’s Bigg Boss contestant Hina Khan, who accused her of not being able to get out of her character in Sasural Simar Ka. Hina also accused Dipika of spending more time with Sreesanth than other contestants, thereby implying that she was using the former India cricketer as a ‘crutch’.

On Sunday, when at least one nominated contestant will face eviction, Dipika breaks down as she records an emotional message for husband Shoaib Ibrahim. Calling Shoaib her ‘God’, Dipika is inconsolable as she addresses him facing one of the cameras installed in the house. The clip of Dipika recording an emotional message for Shoaib was broadcast by Colors TV in a promo on Sunday morning.

Dipika’s emotional upheaval is also largely due to the fact that this is the first festival, when she will not be with her husband. The Bigg Boss house has begun celebrating Diwali as singer Aditya Narayan and comedienne Bharti Singh join them in the celebrations.

Dipika’s emotional message follows Shoaib’s equally heartfelt thanks to Vikas Gupta for ‘giving strength’ to Dipika. He had written, “A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out..thankyou @lostboyjourney for giving her strength and love?? love u bhai.”

Bigg Boss, which started in September, is already in the middle of its journey as the winner will be announced in December. This year’s show has consisted of a group of celebrities and commoners both. The last few episodes have seen celebrities particularly TV actors bonding well amongst themselves.
