Coldplay star, Chris Martin, surprised everyone with his secret visit to Mumbai on Wednesday. He was spotted at the city’s Four Seasons hotel.
It is still unclear whether his visit to Mumbai is related to his forthcoming album or for a non-musical project. According to the residents of Worli village, Coldplay was shooting at different locations from early 6am.
One eyewitness said, “they were shooting a sequence of kite-flying, dahi handi celebrations and festive bonhomie.”
Martin was caught by ETPanache with a group of kids in Holi colours on the set, which also included a traditional Indian village background with a drum kit, a wooden piano with a hoarding that spelt Coldplay in Marathi.
Last time, Martin visited India was in July for the Global Poverty Project, and he had surprised Delhi with an impromptu performance in Delhi eatery.
His 10 minute set list included Coldplay hitsParadise, Viva La Vida and Fix It. He was accompanied by Freida, musicians Vishal Dadlani and Raghu Dixit who jammed with him, and the gentlemen from comedy collective AIB who introduced him.
He had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal.
