Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain star Saumya Tandon has taken to her Instagram page to post an adorable photo of her newly born son Miraan to wish her fans on the occasion of the International Women’s Day.
Saumta wrote, “This #womansday2019 I look at you and can’t believe I could create something as beautiful and precious like you. Women can create miracles and do impossible. To all the wonderful women a shout out to you all – just believe in yourself and do wonders #happywomansday2019 . Thanks for this lovely picture to the amazing @sachin113photographer.”
In the photo, Saumya can be seen adoring her little munchkin, who is in his deep sleep. The popular TV actress and her husband Saurabh Devendra Singh were recently blessed with a baby boy. Speaking to Hindustan Times, she had revealed how she named him Miraan after a fan sent her the suggestion. “Though, the name suggested by a lady from Singapore was Miran, it was a girl’s name so I added an extra ‘a’ to it. It’s a Persian word and means king of kings. Finally, we registered the name as Miraan Tandon Singh. Many suggested Shaurya as well which is a combination of my name and my husband’s name Saurabh. But I wanted a unique name so Miraan it is,” she had said.
Saumya was recently in news after she refused to sell her soul for money to push a political party’s agenda by using her social media pages. Later, speaking to Janta Ka Reporter, Saumya had said that she will never sell herself for money.
No sooner did Janta Ka Reporter carried a report on Saumya, Arshad Warsi, Raza Murad and Vidya Balan not accepting money from the Cobrapost team during their sting operation, Saumya had begun to trend on social media nationally. An overwhelming number of Twitter user hailed her as a real hero. One fan on Twitter had written, “Beauty with brains and RESPECT.” Another user had commented, “So proud of u .”
Speaking exclusively to Janta Ka Reporter, Saumya said, “Well, in my 12 years of career in the entertainment industry, there have been many times that I have been approached for either endorsing a political party especially closer to the elections or to rally for a particular candidate or talk about a particular party on social media or go attend their parties. I have never done that. I will never do that.”
Saumya, who’s currently on maternity leave after having a baby boy, emphatically said that she would ‘never sell’ herself for money. The popular actress, who plays the character of Anita Bhabhi on &TV’s show Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain, said, “Unless and until I truly believe in the person or the party because there are a lot of things that I do for money, but this is something I will never do for money. Because I feel that this is far more serious and it has far greater implications and I would never sell myself for money on these kind of things. If I have to really earn money, I would rather do a role, you know, or a project which is not of national importance or something which has serious consequences. So I have always stood by it and I will stand by it.”
