Remember Baba Ka Dhaba owner Kanta Prasad in Delhi? He shot to fame after a YouTuber Gaurav Wasan highlighted his plight in a video, triggering a wave of support from Indians. However, 80-year-old Prasad had sensationally filed a police complaint against the same YouTuber, whose intervention had moved Indians as they rushed to his help. Prasad has now issued a public apology to Wasan saying that he made a mistake by defaming the YouTuber later.
In a new video, Prasad is heard saying, “I would humbly request people to understand that, that boy Gaurav Wasan was not a thief. I never called him a thief.” Prasad added in the video, recorded by another food blogger, “I want to apologise. I want to request people to forgive me if I made a mistake.”
Prasad had later opened a Chinese restaurant in the Malviya Nagar area of Delhi. Prasad said that he was forced to shut down the restaurant as he couldn’t continue with the mounting losses. According to him, while he spent Rs. 1 lakh every month in running the restaurant, the monthly income was never more than Rs. 35,000.
No sooner had Prasad announced his new beginning last year, he was called ‘ungrateful’ by netizens, who didn’t appear thrilled by his new beginning. Prasad was seen posing for the camera while sitting inside his new restaurant.
Prasad now says that he did not lose all his money to his new restaurant, adding that he was able to save some money.
But, Prasad is not finding much support even after his apology.
