Shahid Kapoor was an extremely angry man on Wednesday when a reporter attempted to ask Kiara Advani, his co-star in his upcoming film Kabir Singh over the kissing scenes. That’s when Shahid decided to intervene and bail his co-star out of her misery. He asked the reporter, “Haven’t you had a girlfriend in a long time?” asked Shahid to a loud cheer from the audience. The man asking the question tried to justified his question but didn’t realise that this will further irk the actor.

By now Shahid was beginning to lose his patience as she said, “All I said was that you will have to pay if you want to watch (the film). I did not say that you will have to pay for (the kissing scene). I didn’t say that. That’s what you chose to understand. This is what got stuck in your mind.”

When the reporter made another attempt to clarify himself, an angry Shahid said, “Do you have any questions other than kissing scenes? People have also acted in this film.” Shahid took the mic away from his face and began to say something in anger which was not audible.

This is the first time that Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani are sharing a screen space in Kabir Singh, which is the Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy.

Shahid’s last film was Batti Gul Meter Chalu, which failed to set the box office on fire. Directed by Directed by Sandeep Vanga, the film has few kissing scenes of Shahid, who plays the character of a medical student, and Kiara. Kabir Singh is set to release on 21 June.
