Condolences pour in after Ajay Devgn’s father Veeru Devgan dies in Mumbai

Ajay Devgn’s father Veeru Devgan passed away on Monday. He was admitted at Surya Hospital in Santacruz. His last rites will be performed at Vile Parle crematorium today at 6 pm.

Veeru Devgn worked as a stunt director with his famous film including Lal Baadshah and Ishq starring Ajay, Aamir Khan, Kajol and Juhi Chawla. He even directed Hindustan Ki Kasam in 1999, which starred Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay and Manisha Koirala.

Reacting to Veeru Devgan’s death, actor Vicky Kaushal’s father and himself a stunt director, Sham Kaushal wrote on Twitter, “RIP Veeru Devgan ji. ????Just came to know about this sad news. As an Action Director always ahead of his times & as human being par excellence. I became a stuntman with his blessings on 8th August, 1980 as he signed my application to become a stuntman & made me part of his team.”

Veeru Devgan is survived by wife Veena Devgn, two sons – Ajay and Anil Devgn and two daughters – Kavita and Neelam Devgn.
