South Indian actress Leena Paul her business partner Shekhar Chandrashekhar were arrested on Tuesday by the Economic Offences Wing of Mumbai in Rs 10 crore cheating case.
Paul and Chandrashekhar have been sent to police custody till June 4. According to media reports, the two have been arrested in fraud investment case, wherein they promised ten times return on investment but failed to deliver leading to complaints.
The complaints were registered at Crime Branch Mumbai which then led to the arrest of Paul and her partner.
Leena Paul starred alongside John Abraham in the 2013 political espionage thriller film, Madras Cafe.
