Deadline for depositing old notes will not be extended beyond 30 December, reported NDTV.
This came after few media reports said that the central government may consider extending the deadline to facilitate more exchanges in light of its new disclosure scheme.
The Centre’s Narendra Modi government has recently allowed people with undisclosed money in old currency to legalise them by paying just 50% tax.
