South Africa on Friday defeated Afghanistan by five wickets, ending the impressive run of the Afghans in the World Cup.
Batting first, Afghanistan made 244 all out with Azmatullah Omarzai playing a fighting knock of 97.
South Africa achieved the target by losing just five wickets with 15 balls to spare. Rassie van der Dussen was the top scorer with an unbeaten knock of 76 from 95 balls. Andile Phehlukwayo was not out at 39 from 37 balls as he hit Naveen ul Haq to two sixes and a four to secure a win for South Africa.
