Sindhu, who’s a double Olympic medallist, has already won two Super 300 titles at Syed Modi International and Swiss Open this year. She is now set to win the first Super 500 title of the 2022 season by winning the Singapore Open final at Kallang.

The champion Indian shuttler had defeated Han Yue of China 17-21 21-11 21-19 in her quarter-final match on Friday.

Sindhu’s impressive performance at the Singapore Open has further boosted India’s medal hoped for this year’s Commonwealth Games, starting in Birmingham later this month.
