In a huge setback to the BJP, its MP from Barrackpore in West Bengal, on Sunday returned to Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress. Arjun Singh formally joined the Trinamool Congress in the presence of senior leader Abhishek Banerjee, who’s also the nephew of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Singh, who was formerly with the TMC, had joined the BJP before the 2019 Lok Sabha polls and contested on a BJP ticket.
Sharing the photos of Singh returning to the TMC, the official Twitter handle of Mamata Banerjee-led party tweeted, “Warmly welcoming former Vice President of
@BJP4Bengal and MP from Barrackpore, Shri @ArjunsinghWB into the All India Trinamool Congress family. He joins us today in the presence of our National General Secretary Shri.”
