Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma on Friday wrote a moving note for her husband Virat Kohli days after a Hindutva fanatic threatened to rape the couple’s 9-month-old daughter Vamika on social media. In response, Kohli also shared an emotional note pronouncing his love for Anushka.
Sharing a photo of herself with husband Virat Kohli, Anushka wrote, “No filter needed , for this photo and the way you lead your life . Your core is made of honesty and guts of steel . Courage that pales doubt into oblivion . I know no one who can pick themselves up from a dark place like you can . You grow better in every way because you hold on to nothing in you as permanent and are fearless.”
She continued, “I know we are not ones to talk to each other through social media like this but sometimes I just want to scream and tell the world what an amazing man you are ♥️ Fortunate are those who really truly know you . Thank you for making everything brighter and more beautiful ♥️
Oh , and Happy Birthday cuteness!
Kohli replied, “❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ You are my strength. You are my guiding force. Grateful to god everyday for us being together my love. I love you ❤️”

Kohli was brutally attacked by the supporters of the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his decision to support his teammate, Mohammad Shami. This was after Shami was founded by Hindutva fanatics for India’s defeat against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup. Hindutva radicals had singled out Shami for criticism due to his Muslim faith. The Indian fast bowler was asked if he accepted money from Pakistan to lose the match even though there were 11 players representing India in the game.
Attacking Hindutva hatemongers for questioning Shami’s patriotism, Kohli had said that this was ‘the most pathetic thing human being can do.’
“There is a good reason why we are playing on the field and not some bunch of spineless people on social media that have no courage to actually speak to any individual in person. This is the lowest level of human form, attacking someone over religion is the most pathetic thing human being can do,” Kohli had said in a press conference.
This did not go down well with Hindutva hatemongers, who began to attack Kohli while wishing for India’s defeat in the competition. One hatemonger had threatened to rape the Indian skipper’s 9-month-old daughter.
This had evoked angry reactions from Indian politicians. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had asked Kohli to forgive Hindutva hatemongers since they were bereft of love. Delhi Commission for Women had issued notice to the Delhi Police directing them to arrest the man, who issued a rape threat.
