Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik has stepped up his attack on NCB’s Zonal Director Sameer Dawood Wankhede illegally intercepted people’s phones in Mumbai. Malik told reporters that he would reveal more facts related to his new allegations.
“I have the information that Sameer Wankhede intercepts people’s phones with the help of two people. I have the names and addresses of those two people. This battle will continue for a long time,” Malik told reporters.
Sharing the letter, Malik tweeted, “Here are the contents of the letter received by me from an unnamed NCB official. As a responsible citizen I will be forwarding this letter to DG Narcotics requesting him to include this letter in the investigation being conducted on Sameer Wankhede.”

Malik said that the revelations on Wankhede’s conduct were made in a letter sent to him by an unnamed NCB official. “I am sending this letter to DG Narcotics requesting him to include this letter in the investigation being conducted on NCB’s Sameer Wankhede. We demand there should be a probe,” ANI quoted him as saying.
Malik said that Wankhede may have also intercepted phones of Bollywood stars, politicians and businessmen adding that the NCB officer was using two individuals from Mumbai and Thane.
This is the most serious allegation made by Malik, who’s been relentlessly raising questions on the integrity of Wankhede and the Narcotics Control Bureau.
Wankhede was instrumental in arresting Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan on 2 October. Later an NCB witness, identified as Prabhakar Sail, had sensationally revealed in an affidavit how KP Gosavi spoke about the exchange of extortion money in the matter. Sail said that he worked Gosavi’s personal bodyguard.
Gosavi’s selfie with Aryan Khan from inside the NCB office had gone viral. He’s since been absconding after the Maharashtra Police issued a lookout notice against him.
