The Narcotics Control Bureau has reportedly summoned filmmaker Imtiaz Khatri in the drug case related to the arrest of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan.

A news flash by ANI said that the NCB had summoned Khatri for questioning. The filmmaker has been asked to appear before the agency on 14 October.

Meanwhile, the hearing on Aryan Khan’s arrest in the same case has continued even on Wednesday with the NCB filing its reply. Aryan Khan’s lawyer Amit Desai said that the star son was invited by another person Pratik Gaba and on 2 October and he was apprehended even before they were to get on to the cruise.

Desai said that the NCB had not recovered banned substances from Aryan. “Their maximum case against Aryan Khan is no possession, admission of consumption,” Desai was quoted by Livelaw.

The NCB had mysteriously released Pratik Gaba later along with Rishabh Sachdeva and Amir Furniturewala. Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik had alleged that these three individuals were released by the NCB due to their association with the BJP.

Malik on Wednesday last week had sensationally claimed that the next target was Shah Rukh Khan after the Narcotics Control Bureau arrested the actor’s son Aryan in a drug case. Terming the arrest of Aryan as ‘forgery,’ Malik had questioned the credibility of the NCB raid on the Cordelia Cruise ship on 2 October, alleging that it had not followed the due procedure as per the NDPS Act, and two non-NCB persons’ involvement in what he said was a fake operation.
