Salman Khan on Saturday unveiled the contestants for the Bigg Boss Season 15, which is going to be held with a twist as celebrity participants would have to survive a jungle test before entering the house. Already unveiled are actors Jay Bhanushali, Karan Kundra, Vishal Kotian, musician Afsana Khan, model-actor Simba Nagpal, Asim Riaz’s brother Umar Riaz and singer Akasa among others.
Afsana Khan told Salman Khan that she had postponed her wedding to take part in the reality show adding that she was scheduled to tie the knot in November but she informed her fiance about her intention to appear in this year’s Bigg Boss.
Salman asked Karan Kundra about his love since the actor recently split with Anusha Dandekar. The TV heartthrob replied, “Dukh hi mila hai (I have only received disappointment).”
Singer Akasa, who shot to fame from singing reality show, India’s Raw Star, in 2014, said that she would find it difficult to live without her phone inside the Bigg Boss house.
Umar Riaz‘s entry assumes significance since his brother Asim Riaz was the runners-up of Season 13 when Siddharth Shukla won the trophy. Siddharth recently passed away following a massive heart attack.
When Salman asked Umar if he would be ‘Umar Riaz 2.0,’ the contestant from Kashmir replied that he would be honest to himself since both brothers had different personalities.
Asim Riaz had accompanied his brother to boost his morale.
TV actor Donal Bisht is another celebrity taking part in this year’s show. She is famous for shows such Ek Deewaana Tha, Roop – Mard Ka Naya Swaroop and Happy Mehra in Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji.
TV personality Ieshaan Sehgal also made a grand entry on the controversial reality show. Aside from appearing on Tv shows such as Rishton Ka Chakravyuh, the model-actor has also featured in several MTV shows.
Another TV actress taking part in this year’s reality show is Vidhi Pandya, who has acted in several serials including Tum Aise Hi Rehna, Balika Vadhu and Udaan among others.
Actor Vishal Kotian has been on the acting scene in India for over two decades. He has famously featured in shows such as Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, Family No.1, Ssshhhh…Koi Hai and Dil Hai Phir Bhi Hindustani, Aisa Des Hai Mera, Pyaar Mein Twist, Shree Adi Manav and CID among others.
Another TV actress Tejasswi Prakash set the screen on fire with her entry. Explaining why she chose to do Bigg Boss, she said, “Bigg Boss is way out of my comfort zone and that in itself is challenging for me. It’s a tough show and I am someone who likes my space and independence. However, in the Bigg Boss house there is no concept of personal space and nor is there any scope to be independent, so I am going to in fact try to get to know myself better in these situations, and I hope to come out as a different person out of Bigg Boss through the interesting journey that it will be.”
Another face in this year’s BB house would be of Meisha Iyer, who was the winner of reality show Splitsvilla Season 12 along with Ashish Bhatia.
Model Sahil Shroff is another model in the Season 15 edition of the Colors TV reality show. Sahil had reportedly worked as a bouncer in an Australian nightclub before making an acting debut in Shah Rukh Khan’s Don 2.
Jay Bhanushali needs no introduction to TV fans in India with the actor featuring in several popular series besides anchoring many reality TV shows himself.
Actor Ranveer Singh was the special guest on the premiere night of Bigg Boss. Host Salman Khan’s hilarious bane=ter would continue with Ranveer on Sunday night, said Colors TV.
