Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty has moved the Bombay High Court against as many as 29 media personalities and outlets for allegedly carrying defamatory content against her in the porn racket case involving her husband Raj Kundra.
She has alleged that the content published by these outlets and individuals had defamed her as she sought an apology from these media houses and compensation of Rs 25 crores.
Those platforms named by Shilpa, according to the Bar and Bench website, included The New Indian Express, India TV, Free Press Journal, NDTV, Facebook, Instagram, and Facebook among others.
The actor said that social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and YouTube should be directed to delete the defamatory content against her. She accused certain media outlets of carrying content that maligned her image in public.
Shilpa said that the articles published against her had lowered her reputation in the eyes of the public and fans.
The hearing is scheduled to take place on Friday.
The Mumbai Police arrested Shilpa’s husband Raj Kundra for allegedly running a porn racket. He was sent to 14-day judicial custody. A Mumbai court had earlier rejected Kundra’s bail plea. He’s moved the Bombay High Court challenging the lower court’s order to deny him bail.
Meanwhile, his sister-in-law Shamita Shetty took to Twitter to share cryptic social media posts. She wrote, “Sometimes the strength within you is not a big fiery flame for all to see.. it is just a tiny spark that whispers ever so softy.. “You got this .. keep going “ .You can’t control how other people receive your energy . Anything you say or do gets filtered through the lens of whatever personal issues they are going through at that moment .. which is not about you . Just keep doing your thing with as much integrity and love as possible.”

Shilpa, who was judging a dance reality show on Sony TV, has disappeared from the TV programme after her husband’s arrest.
