India’s Ishant Sharma on Friday became the first Indian bowler to claim five wickets with the pink ball as Bangladesh were bundled out for 106 in Kolkata Test. Batting first, Bangladesh found the going tough from the word go as the Indian pacers began to wreak havoc against the Tigers.

Ishant Sharma finished his spell with 22-5 with Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami taking three and two wickets respectively. Ishant also completed his 10th five-wicket haul in Test cricket.

Shadman Islam was the highest scorer with 29 runs. Liton Das, who had to retire hurt was batting at 24. Mehidy Hasan, who was Das’s concussion substitute, made just eight.

Earlier, several high profile names including Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and former cricket legends such as Mohammed Azharuddin, Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, VVS Laxman and others joined the BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly to witness the first-ever pink-ball Test match. Also joining the celebration were badminton stars Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu and tennis star Sania Mirza.
