Stepping up attack against the BJP-led central government, Congress vice president, Rahul Gandhi, on Tuesday said that the Rjasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia, was directly involved with Lalit Modi financially.
He said, ” The chief minister of Rajasthan has direct financial involvement with Lalit Modi. Vyapam scam has affected the future of hundreds of thousands of students in Madhya Pradesh.”
He said his party was not going to be perturbed by the suspension of 25 Congress MPs in Lok Sabha.
Rahul added, ” Hum inko pure desh mein gherenge. Let them suspend all of of us. Prime Minister is in the habit of doing Mann Ki Baat, Hindustan ke Mann Ki Baat bhi sun len woh.”
Congress president Sonia Gandhi once again described the suspension of 25 Congress MPs as anti-democratic adding that ensuring proper functioning of parliament was government’s responsibility.
Congress party is joined by 10 opposition parties in its decision to boycott the Lok Sabha proceedings.
Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav told media that the BJP government was acting like a dictator. Soon after SP staged a walkout in LS, Yadav said that the central government needed to be sensitive and not dictatorial.
BSP supremo, Mayawati, too spoke against the LS Speaker’s decision to suspend Congress MPs adding that it was unfortunate and should be reconsidered.
