Twitter ridicule BJP, Modi as Rajasthan police clears Robert Vadra of wrongdoing

Rajasthan Police has reportedly given clean chit to businessman Robert Vadra clearing his Sky Light Hospitality of any wrongdoing.

The police, as reported by Hindustan Times said that Vadra-promoted company was a victim of “conspiracy” and “cheating” as grabbed government land was sold to it.

The clean chit by Rajasthan government to Vadra will come as a huge embarrassment to the BJP as the saffron party had made his land deal in Haryana and Rajasthan a big election issue in 2014 Lok Sabha polls.

Vadra, who is the son-in-law of Congress president Sonia Gandhi was accused by the BJP of land grab in the two states, both have had BJP government for more than a year.

Deputy superintendent of police Ramavtar Soni was quoted by the HT as saying that as a bona fide purchaser Vadra was “certainly a victim of fraud” and he had been “cheated”.

Twitter had wasted no time in ridiculing the BJP for first attacking the Congress on this issue before concluding that there was no case to be made against him. Some even have traced old tweet of PM Narendra Modi where he had concluded that Vadra because of being a son-in-law of the Congress president had indulged in rampany labd grabbing of farmers.
