Believe it or not but Sunil Grover has just shot for Sony TV as Dr Mashoor Gulati and Rinku Bhabhi just days after he famously quit Kapil Sharma Show.
But if you think he’s forgiven Sharma then you are blissfully mistaken.
The popular actor-comedian shot for Sony TV’s another popular reality show, Indian Idol, whose finale episode is scheduled to broadcast coming weekend.
Grover reportedly shot his special appearance while recreating the characters of Dr Mashoor Gulati and Rinku Bhabhi.
According to SpotboyE, Sharma too was shooting in Film City with Raveena Tandon for but he did not make any efforts to reach out to Grover.
Grover has already denied rumours of his return to Kapil Sharma Show.
He was quoted by Midday.com, “It’s all a lie.” Dr Mushoor Gulati fame popular comedian also said that “at present, I am focusing on live shows and nothing else.”
“I am also not talking to any other channel…I am overwhelmed by the love I am getting from the audience. Performing live is exhilarating,” he added.
Meanwhile, the controversy has adversely impacted Sharma’s show, which dropped six positions in TRP to 10th place during the week between 17 March and 23 March.
Sharma has had to face a massive revolt of sorts after he allegedly abused and physically assaulted Grover during a flight journey from Australia.
This had prompted Grover to quit the show forcing Sharma to issue a public apology.
Grover had later posted a gut-wrenching letter asking Sharma not to behave like God. Soon, he received support from other actors including Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar, both of whom refused to take part in Sony TV’s popular show.
There are reports that Sony is not keen to renew the Rs 107 crore contract with Sharma. Meanwhile, Colors is reportedly in conversation with Grover to launch a rival comedy show against Sharma.
Although, a section of media on Monday reported that Grover was back in the show, the latter’s social media post later appeared to contradict the story.
