More AAP leaders attack Kumar Vishwas, question his stay at 5-star hotel

The infighting in the Aam Aadmi Party took an ugly turn on Thursday when more party leaders launched veiled attacks against their own leader, Kumar Vishwas.

This came a day after the former Delhi convener of AAP, Dilip Pandey, accused the poet-politician of being soft on BJP in Rajasthan.

On Thursday, another senior AAP functionary and party’s newly appointed treasurer, Deepak Bajpai, took a potshot at Vishwas posing questions on his stay at JW Marriott hotel in Goa during the assembly elections earlier this year.

His tweet said, “By the way, the party is also searching for that leader, who stayed in a beach-view room of a 5 star hotel JW Marriot during a campaign.”

His next tweet said, “Stop this facade. Stop defaming party workers. First introspect. You must reply if you have an iota of shame left.”

The tweets by Bajpai are directly aimed at Vishwas, who’s fallen out with Kejriwal post party’s defeats in assembly and MCD elections. He had briefly joined his caprty for campaigning in Goa, and had stayed in JW Marriott. It’s, however, not clear on who paid the expense of his hotel stay.

AAP’s Okhla MLA, Amanatullah Khan had sensationally accused Vishwas of being a BJP agent. Vishwas had later threatened to quit the party, but Kejriwal had placated him by offering him the responsibility to look after the AAP affairs in Rajasthan.

Kapil Mishra, a cabinet minister in Kejriwal government then, was sacked for allegedly supporting Vishwas.

On Thursday, Mishra slammed Bajpai for attacking Vishwas.

He wrote, “This is Arvind Kejriwal’s new treasurer and he is writing this about Kumar Vishwas. All is Well.”

Vishwas has not responded to the latest attacks against him launched by senior AAP functionaries.
