Trailer of ‘cinderella’ Sara Ali Khan’s Kedarnath released, fans aghast at writer ‘blaming’ inter-faith relationship for 2013 floods

Sara Ali Khan was all pumped up on social media on Monday as the trailer of her debut Bollywood film, Kedarnath, was released. She frantically updated her social media pages to announce the scheduled release of the trailer.

The official trailer of Kerdarnath was released just weeks after its teaser was made public. The teaser video had evoked angry reactions from Hindutva groups, who demanded ban on the movie.

In the trailer, Sara looks impressive with her acting as she matches to the acting prowess of a relatively more established actor, Sushant Singh Rajput. Sara, who is the daughter of Saif Ali Khan from his first wife Amrita Singh, is seen involved in an intense romantic relationship with Sushant, who plays the role of a Muslim man, helping Hindu devotees perform their pilgrimage in Kedarnath.

Sara and Sushant are seen madly in love as they passionately kiss each other. Her relationship, it seems, is not approved by her Hindu parents, who warn them of consequences if she went ahead with her affair with Sushant.

This is then followed by unprecedented nature’s fury, causing a large-scale devastation in the Holy city of Uttarakhand, as was evident in 2013.

The trailer has received overwhelmingly positive response from her fans. One fan wrote, “This is how you make a movie.” Another commented, “Sara is more beautiful and better actor than Janhvi Kapoor.”

However, there were many fans, who warned the makers and actors of reprisals from the BJP for shooting intimate scenes at the backdrop of a Holy place. Others questioned the writer’s ability for blaming their inter-faith relationship for 2013 floods in Kedarnath.

Sara celebrated the release of the trailer with posting a series of photos, dressed in flowery outfit.
